According to Google's code, Fuchsia OS should also run on Android

Google's new operating system, Fuchsia OS, should be part of Chrome OS and still support Android apps. The information comes through the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).

Older rumors already revealed that Google's new system may be compatible with current devices and applications. However, Google seems to have limited access to the interface which has led to several speculations.

The novelty of the time is that according to the codes present in the AOSP, Fuchsia should run in applications using the Android Runtime (ART).

According to Google's code, Fuchsia OS should also run on Android.

In the AOSP statement, we have the following information: "they differ from regular Android devices in that they do not target specific hardware. They will produce a Fuchsia package (.far file)".

This means that the new Fuchsia OS will use a specifically designed version of the Android Runtime (ART) to be able to run Android apps. The new ART will be unstable on any device with the new software using a ".far" file.

It's unclear how Fuchsia will use the Android Runtime, but even so, you can tell that the new operating system will be compatible with the thousands of apps that Android has. For developers this is good news, as they won't have to worry about possible new versions of their software for Fuchsia.

Finally, we cannot yet speculate when the first devices with Fuchsia will be released, however, we can observe that Google is working hard on the system which means that its arrival could be really close. Let's wait.
