The topic in question has several reports from owners of the same device model with a similar problem, and most of them have the smaller version of the Pixel 2. Some users suggested turning off the device's NFC, which would solve the issue.

Google's support team, already aware of the situation, has expressed itself saying that it will release a fix "soon".

Thus, the alternative is to wait for the solution of the problem that should arrive together with the software update.
